Well, What's Your Answer? 9.18.10

Another try at well, what's your answer. Like I said before, can't figure out how to do the "grab the picture" thingy, so you will have to save picture as and insert picture. Sorry, someday I will be smart. Also, grab the questions and answer them on your blog. Then come back and link up. Or I will hunt you down and find you. I have friends in high places.

1. What do you think other people think of you? Do you think they see you the way you really are?
This one is kind of a good question for me. I'm sure people that don't really know me just look at me and say, yikes, she's overweight, she must be dumb. But then there are those that do know me. I'm pretty sure they think, "I can tell her anything". And they do. What they don't know is that I never tell another soul. The second part of that question. Do they see me the way I really am? Hum. Probably not. I think sometimes I hide it really well. I'm a realist, I swear like a trucker, I have a dirty mind. But I also love to "pun it up" and love babies, and kids, and butterflies and baby tigers. And love seeing pictures of everyone's family. I won't swear around you unless I am super mad. If I am in your corner, I will fight for you tooth and nail, but watch out if you hurt anyone in my immediate family, or my close friends (which some of you are) I will go for the blood, it won't be pretty.
2. Have you thought about what you want your epitaph to read?
I haven't thought much about the epitaph. Probably "Party at my Place" on the grave marker. Because I've already been told by the "good people" that I'm going to hell, and I figure, I don't want to be with the stuffy "good people" anyway, so it's a party and you're all invited. I have decided on my funeral. Have told my kids what I want, and one of these first days, I'm going to write my obituary. It will all be found on my computer under "Mom's Funeral". Even picked out the music. Little secret, at the end of the funeral, everyone is going to sing, "Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na, Hey-Hey-Hey, Good-ood-bye". It's going to rock!
Probably not what the questions really meant, but hey, It's my blog and I can answer them the way I want. And you can answer them the way you want too. Link on up. Please. Can you see the tears. Falling, falling, dropping on the floor. Big puddle.

Sneak Peak, Well, What's Your Answer 9.19.10

Ok, I know you are all dying of anticipation, (uh huh, and then I woke up) for this weeks, Well, What's Your Answer. I'm giving you a few questions this week. The link will go up later tonight.
1. What do you think other people think of you? Do you think they see you the way you really are?
2. Have you thought about what you want your epitaph to read?
(a short text honoring a deceased person, strictly speaking that is inscribed on their tombstone or plaque, but also used figuratively. Some are specified by the dead person beforehand, others chosen by those responsible for the burial. An epitaph may be in verse; poets have been known to compose their own epitaphs prior to their death)
K kids, I'm holding my breath, so maybe I better get going on my epitaph.

Sneak Peak - Well, What's Your Answer

Here it is, the question you are all waiting for. (yeah, right, and then I woke up). I will be putting the link up on Sunday morning. (or late tomorrow night) Hope that I get more than the Zero (yup, you read it right) that linked up last week. Not to say, I did get lots of comments with your answers so you are safe.

This weeks question.
Were you or someone in your family affected by
The Great Depression?
(for all you youngun's, the great depression was from 1929 to 1941)

I can't wait to write about this. Hope you have some family history to write about too.

Well, What's Your Answer? 9.6.10

So, since my last Well, What's Your Answer was such a rousing success, NOT, and I had One, count them 1, of you link up, I'm going to change my format just a smidge. There will only be one question. They will not mention body parts, cuz I know I offended some of you. This is my safe blog. Unless you are a stupid driver, then watch out. If you want to link up, you will have to just snag and save my picture cuz I just can't get the whole code thing to work right. I'm hoping for a lot more link ups this week. Yeah, I'm groveling, what can I say.

Being that today is Labor Day, and some of you are probably having the last hurrah BBQ here is today's question.

What is your corn-on-the-cob etiquette? Do you use corn holders? Do you eat around the ear, or left to right, typewriter-style?

I can't even believe it, but I have not cooked corn on the cob once this summer. But today is the day.

I haven't for many years used the corn holders. But I bought some really cute ones last spring at Dollar Tree and they are coming out of hiding today. I've always loved them. I eat it typewriter style. I love the sweet tasting corn on the cob, with tons and tons of butter and of course, salt and pepper. My aunt taught me to boil it in milk so it actually picks up a whole creamy flavor.

Yum, can't wait for my kids to get here now.

Your turn. Please link up. I'm off to get some corn ready.

Well, What's Your Answer

I know, you were all sitting in anticipation for another Well, What's Your Answer? You were, quit teasing me. Thanks to my pal Renee and my favorite cwauson for helping me to come up with some questions. Remember, if you have a question or more that you would like to have me put on here, and they are off the wall, just email them to me. I will give you a shout out and everything. Cuz that's how I roll.

1. Have you or would you bungee jump, skydive, or drag race on a track?
2. If you and another blog friend could spend a day together, what kind of trouble would you get in to?
3. If you heard/saw your neighbor abusing his wife or children, would you call the authorities?
4. For $1000 bucks would you eat a pigs penis? (thanks Renee)
5. What is one of your "guilty pleasure" TV shows?
*******************************************************************
1. Have you or would you bungee jump, skydive, or drag race on a track?
I would love to drag race. I'm pretty good at stepping on the gas when the light turns green. Besides, I bet it would be a blast feeling all that power under you. Bungee jumping I would be scared of the bungee breaking, and skydiving I would like to, but probably never will
2. If you and another blog friend could spend a day together, what kind of trouble would you get in to?
Wow, if I were with some of you, we wouldn't get in trouble. We would probably just do lunch or dinner. Others, and you all know who you are, we would be so crazy that we would probably get arrested. Nuff said.
3. If you heard/saw your neighbor abusing his wife or children, would you call the authorities?
I would now. I hate to say it tho, that when my kids were little we lived next door to this family. One day the little girl came over and she had a black eye. I said to her, "oh my goodness, look at your eye", and the first words out of her mouth were "my dad didn't hit me". I look back on that and think I should have called the authorities. I truly believe in gut feelings and I always had the feeling about this guy, even before the black eye.
4. For $1000 bucks would you eat a pigs penis? (thanks Renee)
I would probably have to say yes. It couldn't be that bad, could it? And if I held my nose I probably wouldn't even taste it. People eat rocky mountain oysters, and we all know what they are.
5. What is one of your "guilty pleasure" TV shows?
Right now, it's LA Ink. I know, huh. I just love the "drama" of the workers, love hearing why people are getting their tattoo, and oh my, those tattoo artists on there do some great work. If I could afford it, I would got to LA and visit them for a tat!

There you go. Now please, with ice cream, whipping cream and a cherry on top, link up and let me see your answers.

What's Your Answer?

Every week, there are a question and answer thing. I follow along when the questions spark a fancy in me. I've even "submitted" questions to a few sites but they haven't ever used them. So today, I thought to myself, "self, why don't you come up with your own questions, and see if you can get anyone to link up" So here it is. I'm going to call my little ditty
What's Your Answer?
I know, not very catchy but hey, it's mine.

Here's this weeks questions.
1. If a flight to the moon was as cheap as airfare, you you go?
2. Did you ever kiss someone you didn't know?
3. Would you reboard an airplane that had to land because of a problem?
4. What is the saddest thing you've ever seen while driving down the road?
5. Have you ever had a dream that warned you of something?
**********************************************
Now it's your turn to answer the questions. Link on up so others can see.
1. If a flight to the moon was as cheap as airfare, you you go?
I would definitely go. It would be a blast to go up and land and just take in space, and see the earth from afar.
2. Did you ever kiss someone you didn't know?
Yup. One time I was headed to Vegas to visit my older sister when she lived there. I was about 18. I boarded the plane and sat next to this really different looking guy than I was used to. Longer hair, smelled of cigarette smoke. We talked the whole flight to Vegas. He was headed to California, so as I was grabbing my stuff to get off the plane, he said, "aren't you going to give me a kiss goodbye". Wow, I was shocked, but also, I hate to walk away from a challenge, so I kissed him.
3. Would you reboard an airplane that had to land because of a problem?
I have never had to reboard a plane "after" it had taken off. I don't know if I could. I was on a plane once that had problems before we took off. Was all seatbelted in and saw a bunch a fire trucks racing towards us. Scared the holy crap out of me. It was probably about an hour after we were supposed to leave that they got it fixed. I can't even remember what it was but I was extremely nervous the whole flight.
4. What is the saddest thing you've ever seen while driving down the road?
We were driving down a busy street once and there was a pickup truck in front of us that had 2 beautiful dogs in the back. I'm not much of a dog person, so I don't even know what they were but they had long fur and it was pure white. First of all, I hate it when I see peoples dogs in the back bed of pick up trucks. I think that isn't very responsible especially if the dog is allowed to walk around and isn't leashed to anything. Anyway, the truck got to a light, decided to make a u-turn, started going so fast he burned rubber, and one of the dogs fell out. The pain that dog was in was so horrible. You could hear him yelping a block away.
5. Have you ever had a dream that warned you of something?
I have had a few dreams that have warned me about things that are going to happen. Not in the future, but like, when I wake up. Once the night my grandfather died, and the other when my daughters friends got killed in a car accident.
Ok, your turn. Link on up. What do you have to lose?
ps: If you have a question or two you want to submit, please do, I will use them, and give you a shoutout. Just go to my profile page, grab my email address and send them my way.
