My Favorite Holiday Songs - Josh Groban - O Holy Night

O Holy Night is number one on my list of favorite holiday songs.  There is just something about it that makes my soul feel good.  Josh Groban is also one of my favorite singers.  Sit back and enjoy.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - What Child Is This

Christmas Day is almost here.  Only 3 more nights of songs.  Oh don't cry little chick-a-dees.  There will be other times that I bore you to death do something like this again.

Tonight's is an original video made by me, put to the music of Josh Groban

Isn't she the cutest thing ever!!!  One night her sister, Miss L, changed it up a bit, and she was mighty upset.  She asked me who did it with her hands on her hips and a look of disgust on her face.  I didn't want to get Miss L in trouble, so I said I didn't know.  She proceeded to blame her bapa.

Kids, they are certainly the joy of Christmas

One of the best Christmas movies, with a great song to go along with it.  Poor Ralphie.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - "Mary's Lullaby"

Once upon a time, in a land far away, I sang this song with 2 other women as a trio.  I loved this song, and when singing it would always get a lump in my throat.  Kind of hard to sing with a big ole lump.

Thanks to youtube for having this song.  I can't even imagine holding your own child while singing this.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - Ave Maria - Celine Dion

You just knew that I would throw a Celine Dion in here.  I love to LISTEN to her sing, but I have to say, I don't like watching her sing or watching her talk and sing.  I'm strange, I know.  This is another song that I didn't grow up listening to, but I love it.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - Away In A Manger - Hands That Talk

Oh my, I am having so much fun finding my favorite songs, and by different artists.

Away In A Manger.  I love this arrangement.  When I found this video with the people signing, I knew it was the one to post.

When A Child Is Born - The Moody Blues

This is not the favorite of my hubby, but it is by one of his favorite groups.  I have actually seen the Moody Blues in concert 2 times.  They are awesome.

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole

Dear blogging world.  I know that I told you I would never, ever, ever put this song as my blog.  But what happens when you ask your kids, "kids, what is your favorite christmas song".  Brandon, my youngest said, and I quote, "mom, I know you hate this song, but it is my favorite one, and I hate most of them".  What?  I have a child that hates Christmas songs.  He needs rehab.  I will leave the room while you listen.  Tell me when you are done.

Friendly reminder.  Don't ever say you will never, ever, ever do something.  Karma will come right over and kick your butt.

The Killers - Don't Shoot Me Santa

Today's holiday song is the favorite of my son Justin.  I know, you are shocked that it isn't mine.  I just want you to see part of the personalities of my kids.   I did listen to this song, and it is rather humorous.

Now beware, don't be pissing off Santa.

Mele Kalikimaka (Hawaiian Christmas Song)

Tonight's song pick is the favorite song of Adam.  Not of Adam & Eve fame, but Adam whom is a fellow employee.   He says hey.  Let me just tell you a few things about Adam.  He is from Georgia, so he has that really cool accent.  Yesterday he was telling me about his sister-in-law who is from Mexico but has lived a long time in Georgia.  I was lucky to hear his impression of a mexican/southern accent.  You have not lived until you hear some of his impressions.

He also was telling me some of his answers from my questions of yesterday.  Because I'm such a cool friend, I sent him and Machaelle the questions and made them send their answers to me.  I know, I'm mean, but hey, I thought you would enjoy some of their answers.  Also, men and women totally answer things different

First enjoy the song as you read some of their answers.  It's the song he couldn't get the lyrics out of his head question.

Have you ever thought about getting your lip pierced?
M:  No, I'm too wimpy
A:  HECK NO! My family owns a Dairy Queen...and I worked there in my high school and college years...once...someone with a lip piercing came in and got a milkshake...and it started to leak thru the piercing.  GROSSED ME OUT!!
Dazee:  Umm, never thought of that, but now, grossed as well

Have you ever brushed your teeth in the shower?
M:  All the time
A:  I always brush my teeth in the shower...then you can spit your toothpaste on your toes so they can be minty fresh too!...I know it's weird...but it all started on my mission (he went to Haiti).  The mission doctor advised us to pee on our feet when we were showering because the acids in pee would kill any fungus or grossness that might be growing on our feet...then...while brushing my teeth...I would spit the toothpaste on my toes...cuz it just seems nicer to have them tingle from minty freshness than from urine...
Dazee:  TMI Adam, TMI.  Also, I think there are a lot of your closet brushers of teeth in the shower people out there.

Who was the last person you couldn't take your eyes off of?
M:  The UPS Man
A:  I like watching my kids play...does that count?
Dazee:  Machaelle, you harlot you.

Have you ever been skinny dipping?
M:  Yes
A:  I don't skinny dip..........I chunky dunk
Dazee:  Both of you are grounded.

And remember, Mele Kalikimaka to you all.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - Angels We Have Heard On High

When I was a church going girl, during the Holidays this was one of my favorite songs to sing.  I'm an alto, so I loved singing the chorus.  And no, I won't sing for you.

My Favorite Holiday Songs - So This Is Christmas

So This Is Christmas by John Lennon is so good.  But then I found a rendition by Robbie Williams.  Now, some of you may not even know who Robbie Williams is.  He's HOT overseas.  What I find even more amazing is that my cousin and my friend Pam both adore this man.

So for you two, I dedicate this song.

My Favorite Holiday Songs: Amazing Grace

There are some songs that really mean a lot to me during the holidays. Amazing Grace is one of them. Being raised a mormon, we didn't sing this hymn. But it never stopped me from loving it.

I'm going to post a few of my favorite songs in the next few weeks. Hope I don't bore you to death. There are some that you probably don't like, but I can guarantee you, you will never find Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, ever, ever, ever on my list.

I actually thought it was cool finding the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing this hymn.  They can give me the chills with some of their renditions of songs.
