Field Trip - Caskets

How many of you watched The Amazing Race on Sunday?  Raise your hands.  Alrighty then, if you didn't watch it you are really missing out.  They went to Ghana, and one of the tasks they had to do was carry a designer coffin to a showroom.  I have to say, I want to get a casket from Ghana when I die.  What?  We are all going to, we might as well look into our "eternal resting place" furniture.  If you are too grossed out by this field trip girls and boys, you may get a note from your parents saying that you are big wussy babies not able to make it.  For you that are up for the trip, lets begin.

The first area of the showroom that we are going to is the animal world.  If you are interested in Lions, then this is the casket for you.  Can you say RRRRWWWWWWAAAAAAARRRRRR

Next to it we have the friendly (or unfriendly) ummm, I'm thinking eagle.  You will be the talk of the town in this one.

Moving into the next area.  If you are a car person, put your seat belt on and settle in for a long drive.

For the traveler, you will be flying high in this airplane model.  Please pass the peanuts.

Next up for the never leave home without it cell phone person, we have this lovely plan for you.  Call everyone you know and tell them how you are doing, wherever you are.  :)

I have to say that this next one is my favorite.  The only thing that would make it even better is if it were a Coke Zero.  I can't even begin to tell you how awesome I think this one is.

Now, if you want just a plain old wood casket, this one is for you.  I might just try to put that on my wish list casket list.  I don't think my family will have to go to Ghana to get it.

But if they just want to put me in a regular ole casket, this is the one I really want.  Just a nice wood casket.  With a 6 pack of Coke Zero at my side.

Now that wasn't too bad was it.  I thought it was actually a really fun field trip.  And you crybabysissyfaces that didn't go, well you just missed out.

Until Next Time

Thieves Amongst Me

You know it's going to be a freaking great day at work with you have to send this email to your fellow employees.

To Whom it May Concern:
Whomever decided that the fridge in my office is also theirs had better keep their grubby hands out of it.  This is MY PERSONAL FRIDGE.  Bought with my hard earned money.  All the stuff in my fridge is stuff I have also bought.

I don't care how bad you need creamer for your coffee.  MY CREAMER is not YOUR CREAMER.

DO NOT think that just because you work here, everything here is yours.  Think again.  STAY OUT OF MY STUFF!!!!

Must have worked.  I had one of the guys came in and confess.

I am really wondering who raised these guys I work with.

PS:  The phones are driving me crazy like Miss Daisy today.  Just sayin.

Saturday 6 - 10.2.10

BWS tips button

Today I am following along with the lovely Jana and Ashlee for Saturday 6.  These ladies are awesome moms, but aren't afraid to be sexy at the same time.

  1. You get a million dollars, what's the first thing you buy? Well, I think I would actually pay off my house, give a hundred thousand to each of my kids to do with it what they want, and then go on a Hawaiian Cruise.  The rest would go into savings for the fun things.

  2.  What do you consider to be the best things about yourself?  (Your best qualities, what you like about yourself etc.) I think my best quality is the ability to listen.  I think there is an invisible stamp across my forehead that reads, tell me anything, it's safe with me.  It's not that I promote it, it's just that people will tell me their deepest darkest secrets.  I also won't tell a soul what I've been told, so I think that is a pretty good quality.

  3.  What do you consider to be your weaknesses?   Pastries.  Oh, you mean like, feeling sad for the person that is eating alone, or a child that is getting yelled at by it parents.  I take it all to heart.  I don't think I would ever be able to be a therapist because I would take the hurt all upon myself.

  4.  Have you ever made a scene in public? Elaborate! Oh my heck, too many times.  For sure if you've wrong one of my kids, watch the hell out.  But I think the very first time I made a scene was in Jr. High (as it was called in the olden days).  9th grade.  I liked one of my friends cousins.  Another friend liked him too.  I can't even remember what led up to it, but she started spreading rumors about me.  So one day I was walking down the hall, saw her sitting in her class, pulled her out into the hallway and told her (actually screamed) that she was a big fat liar and everyone would find out and she better just shut up.  And thus began my years of losing it when it mattered.

  5. Any annoying quirks you possess? Hmmm.  quirks?  Certain pitches of some sounds.  Not every sound grates on my nerves, but like the sounds of a floor heater, or the constant beeping of the battery dying in the smoke detector.  Those kinds of sounds.

  6. Are you more aggressive or passive in your personality? This is a weird one for me.  People would think I was aggressive.  But it didn't come naturally.  I had to really make an effort when we moved from Colorado to Utah when I was 14 to be friends with people because they just weren't friendly.  I also don't like feeling the silence when I go places, so I will start up a conversation with just about anyone if they look friendly and not scary.

There you have it.  Loved these questions.  Now it's your turn.

T.G.I.F.

First of all, how awesome it this men's restroom!!
Conversation heard by the restroom today.
Bathroom goer B: Pushes on door, it is locked (just setting the scene).
Bathroom goer A: Does his duty, flushes urinal (hey, I was in the women's room, shared wall, ok) Unlocks door.
bgB:  I'm not going to die when I go in there am I?
bgA:  No, I didn't do that.

Are you kidding me?  bgB, better know as "scary man" on previous work posts, is the king of stink.  He let the loudest fart I have ever heard yesterday and I'm not even close to his desk.  And apparently it was the smelly variety because the guy in the office by him said, "I'm freaking getting out of here, that is just rank".   Speaking of the urinal, he flushes it like 6 times while he is peeing.  6 TIMES or more, depending on the pee amount.  (don't give me crap, I've shared restroom time with this guy more than once).  This is also the guy that is constantly blowing snot rockets.

In other work news, the 3 guys that aren't afraid of mice, weren't here yesterday when the whole hairy mouse situation happened in my office.  My luck, huh.  This morning when I got to work, I saw on the floor by one of the chairs in my office, a small Trix bar that said mouse had found and opened and eaten some of.  Maybe I'm gonna have to stop buying candy for the guys here at work, if they are going to keep dropping it on the floor to help the mouse population thrive.

Anymousedroppings, here is my week at work in revue.
Starting last Thursday's mouse adventure that I did as a guest post on Bodacious Boomer.
Then my falling off the chair adventure on Monday.
Tripped up the stairs getting into the building, that I didn't do a post on, yesterday.
Ending with the mouse in my office adventure yesterday.

Here's hoping for a non-eventful weekend.
