I Spy - Texture

Photobucket

"Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to follow along with Christy and my photo meme.  As usual, should you or any member of your Photo Force be captured or killed, then we will disavow any knowledge of your existence. This statement will not self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck".

Now, you know the rules.  We give you one prompt and then you get to just show off anything else you want.  Any type of camera used is awesome, photo's can be recent or ones you have taken years ago.  Just grab our little I Spy guy over there, then come on back and link up.

Now, if you have been a good student, you have seen that sometimes I don't take the "normal" photo's with each of our prompts.  Let that be your guide.  Be experimental.  Let your imagination be your guide.

Lets get to it, shall we.

TEXTURE

A Christmas tree

A basket

The very first monkey bread I ever made.  I could really go for some of that right now

And now, the un-normal

My tongue
Look at all that texture on there.  I know.  You are grossed out, but hey, I'm not normal.  I have warned you of that.

MY CHOICE

This was taken a couple of summers ago.  This little guy was just exploring our deck and getting into everything.

Now, show us what you got.

Next weeks prompts

LIGHTS
and
YOUR CHOICE

Welcome To My Nightmare

I've gathered you all here today, to be enlightened by my mind.    hahahahaha, and if you believe that, I have a bazillion dollars in the bank.

I've had the craziest of dreams nightly lately.  Well, sit on up, grab your favorite beverage, and let me enthrall  tell you about them.

I was sitting in the backseat of a car.  No, I don't know whose car it was, quit asking questions.
The driver was not in the car but I was looking at the car next to me.  I noticed that by the drivers door and front tire, there was a woman sleeping.  Her head was towards the back of the car.  All of the sudden I see her teeth moving, like out of her mouth.  They plop out, followed by what I can only come up with was a rat.  He grabbed her teeth and ran off.

Now before you go running off to get me one of these,
oooohhhh, purple****

*clearing throat*

It's ok.  No really.  You have to believe me.  I think it's because I've been reading books about murder and ghosts and rats and such.  Just sayin.

The thing is, since I was *cough* fired *cough, let go, I have been dreaming, NIGHTLY about my 2 former places of employment.

My daughter told me that she had read somewhere, that every night before you go to sleep, you need to envision things you don't want on your brain, climbing out of your brain, on a ladder.

Something like that.  Scary I know.

I have been doing that.  Except for last night.  I was so tired, that I just flopped on the bed, and was out in about one minute.

In last nights dream, I was back at "my place of employment" but not the actual place I just got kicked out of left.  And not only that but these dreams always include former employees from both of my last 2 jobs.  Weird.  But even weirder, I keep showing up for work, as if they were just kidding.  No one will say anything, not even the managers.  In fact, my latest manager, of the male persuasion, was a female last night in the dream.  She was saying that I could work there as long as I didn't cause trouble.

Because we all know TROUBLE is my middle name.  NOT.

Now repeat after me

Five Things I Know You Have Been Wondering About Me

I've been seeing this on a few blogs, and thought it would be fun to do.  Once I got in to doing it, it was freaking hard, but alas, I dung down and did it.

5 things you don’t know about me
1.  I can wiggle my nose like a rabbit.  Comes in handy when playing stare down.
2.  I am double jointed on my left hand's pointer and middle finger.  Don't be getting all jealous.
3.  I have never gotten a speeding ticket.  (knock on wood) That's 38 years of driving people. :)
4.  In 6th grade I went on a field trip to the U.S. Mint in Denver
5.  If I see a car in front of me that sends off "bad vibes", I will stare at the license plate just in case I need to be hypnotized later to remember it.  Hey, I read crime novels.

5 things I'm knowledgeable about
1.  I know how to cook a mean turkey.  Not mean as in, you are a rat, just moist, and scrumptious.  (at least that's what my kids tell me)
2.  I can fix/unjam any printer, fax, copy machine around.  Heck, I should have put that on my resume.
3.  Spelling.  when I was a senior, I had to take a "special" English class because I failed the test to see how smart we were.  I was devastated then, but now, I'm really glad.
4.  Remembering things that people tell me.  Even if it was years ago.  I may not remember their name, but I will remember their face and their deep dark secrets.  But never fear, their secrets are never revealed to anyone else.
5.  How much fun it is right now looking for a job, being an older woman.  Yeah, it's a blast.

5 things I know nothing about
1.  How to build a rocket ship
2.  Most math.  I know basic.  I know how to use a calculator.  Throw that other crap stuff at me and I suck. Don't even get me going on story problems!!!
 3.  How to draw.  Me and stick figures do just fine, thank you very much
4.  Names of tree's, plant's and flowers.  Truly, my answer will be, they are green plants, and red flowers (ok, I know a rose and carnation).
5.  Names of songs and the artists that sing them.   I know if I like "said song" but, I would have never made it on the show, "Name That Tune".

5 things I believe
1.  What goes around comes around, and when it comes around, I want to totally be there.
2.  That when we are put in situations, we need to learn from them, because someday, you will be able to help someone else that is going through the same thing
3.  That we are a product of our environment.   That puts a lot of pressure on us to be good roll models
4.  That I will meet my mother and father in law when I go to the great beyond
5.  That I was drawn to blogging because I was meant to become friends with people that I would have never have met otherwise.

Phew.  That was a lot harder than it looked.  Perseverance, another thing I'm good at.  :)

That Fracken Time Again.... Oh And Some Shoes.....You're Welcome

My Dearest Christy and Boobies,
It has now reached the end of a long work week.  I have been slaving away looking for and applying for jobs, which in of itself is a big ole fracken pain in my buttocks.  And really, buttocks, who in the hell came up with that name?  Alas, I won't go off on a fracken rant about the joys of job searching but I will thank you both once again, for allowing me to spew my madness.
As Always,
Your Faithful Meme Follower
Dazee

I can tell you are all anticipating what time it is again.  Well, I will tell you.

This morning, while you are all having your big wonderful stupendous breakfast, with oh, maybe a big ole glass of milk on ice or a hot cup of coffee or cocoa, here is what I will be having.
Now, don't be all jealous.  I will be sniffing Mr. Dazee's coffee while I drink my water.  I know, you are all thinking to yourselves, but Dazee, how come you get to have that nice looking bottle of water for breakfast?

It's because I get to go have my lab work done.   Now, stop it.  No need for you to be jealous.  Remember, I don't have the most prominent veins, so they have to take it out of my hand, with that cute little butterfly thingy, that hurts like hell, especially if there is a newbie tech doing it, and wait.  I have to breathe.

Therefore, after I have that fracken experience out of the way, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be rewarding myself with a stop to Starbucks.
Because I deserve it.

Now on to some fun stuff.  I know some of you miss it when I don't show you some fun and exciting shoes that I will never wear, but that others of you might just run to your nearest shoe place and buy.  Admit it, it's true.

I understand that there are a lot of parties going on this time of year.   Me, well, we all know I didn't go from my last Friday's Frack Off.   But there are plenty of you, that are putting on your cute little outfits, and trying to find the perfect pair of shoes to go with them, so me, being the kind hearted soul that I am, have found a few I thought you might like.

I kind of like the above pair.  Would look cute with that little black dress, or in my case, tent.

Now, didn't those just make your season all sorts of bright?
