I Spy - Scar(s)

Wow, can you believe that we are finally back doing I Spy.  It has been such a busy last couple of months.  Thanks to my wonderful partner in crime, Christy at My Mad Mind for letting me be such a slacker.  She rocks that way.
In case you have forgotten how we do this, we give you 2 choices.  Every single week one of them is YOUR CHOICE.  The other prompt is one that we have come up with.  This week it is SCAR(S).  Now, because some of you, and you know who you are, try telling me that you have no scars, think outside of the box.  A missing part of a tree is a scar, a tear in your furniture is a scar.  See, I thought outside of the box for you.  YOU CAN DO IT!!  I have faith. (insert George Michael singing Faith) SCAR(S)

This is my beautiful older sister.  

If you look right above her eyeball, on from the edge of her eyelid to about the middle of her eyelid, you will see a thin scar.  I remember when she got this scar.  She was riding in her boyfriend's car when she was about 15 and they had an accident.  The thing is, if you didn't know it was there, you couldn't see it.  She is still one of the most beautiful women I know.

This is my mom's revised hip X-ray that they took yesterday.

And this is the scar on her hip.  Not the whole thing, because the edges on both ends were kind of gross looking and I didn't want to freak you out.  She has a "dimple" going on there right now, but they guaranteed me that when she recovers more and it is healed, it will even all out.  My mom, in the past, would have never let me take a picture of her.  Now she even let me take it of her scar.  She rocks.

MY CHOICE

I haven't been out shooting photo's randomly lately.  hmmmm wonder why?  Anyway, I went back into my archives and dug this one out.  Back in my red hair days.  Now I'm blond.  I entitled this photo "50 and proud".  Some people would call getting a tattoo a "scar".   Every time I look at my legs, I see my family.   They are the most precious and beautiful things in my life.

I Spy - Tradition

Yeah, I know, I'm a day late and a dollar short for this weeks I Spy.  But, one of my favorite mantra's, better late than never.  
This weeks prompts are Tradition and Your Choice.  A holiday week.  No better prompt than this.  I bet all of you have photo's you can show off.  Don't be shy, show them off.  I promise if you will, Christy's Madness will not show up at your house.  I like to give her a bad time, but then she always points out that my blog is called, Crazy Daze & Nite Dreams.  Speaking of crazy dreams, you should have seen the doosie I had the other night involving Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.  But that might be for another time.
TRADITION
My mom has always put out many decorations at Christmas time.  I was up at their house before her surgery and snapped some of the stuff she puts out every year.
This is a Christmas Tree that her Aunt crocheted.  Even the little presents under the tree are handmade either by needle point or other ways. 

Another Tradition of my mom's is all kinds of different manger scenes.  This one has huge wise men on camels, And then all the figurines.  

Of all her mangers tho, I love this one.  It is made entirely of rocks.  Everyone wants her to make them one.   

MY CHOICE

The tradition of family get togethers.  This is the first time since Mr. G was born that we had all the grandkids together.  They were working on a play that day.  Love those kids.  They make my heart feel joy.

I Spy - Historic

This week has flown by.  Most likely because I've been spending time up at the hospital.   I hope you are all ready to join Miss Christy's Mad Mind and myself for this weeks I Spy.  Your prompts this week are HISTORIC and YOUR CHOICE.   Today I was glad to be headed to the hospital.  The one where my mom is at, is up in the Avenues of Salt Lake, where a lot of the homes are from back in the early 1900's.   I love the Avenue area.  All the homes have their own personality.  Not like the sub-divisions of today.   I took most of these photo's today out of my car window.   See, that's how easy the rules are for this meme. HISTORIC This is  one of the larger homes, that has now been converted into an office.  I actually can't believe it still has leaves hanging on for dear life, on December 18th.

Loved the look of this one.  It was begging me to stop and go inside.  

This is just a little plain one close to the hospital.  I thought it looked quaint.

MY CHOICE

I took a photo of the hospital my mom is in.  Not because she is there, but because all three of my children were born in this hospital.  My family started right here.  That in itself is historic.

I could have spent all day just driving every street in the Avenues, snapping picture after picture.  But, there was the thing about going to help my mom.  Tee-hee-hee

I Spy - Tracks

Guess what, guess what, guess what?   It's time for I Spy.  I can hardly contain my excitement.   Please join Christy's Mad Mind and myself in our little photo meme.  Any camera is ok.  We give you two prompts.  One is always and forever YOUR CHOICE and the other changes weekly.  This week it is TRACKS.  You can always go traditional or outside of the box.  Me, I'm an outside of the box kind of gal.  Let's get this show on the road, shall we. TRACKS We got a ton of snow over the weekend.  You are going to see a photo montage of tracks in the snow. Dazee's Tracks

Deer scampering out of the yard tracks, the day I opened the door and screamed at them.   I think I scared them more with my sleeping apparel.

Closer up look at the deer tracks.

Dog tracks.  I took this over at the park by our house.  It's funny how all the dog tracks went from tree to tree with a bunch of the tracks surrounding each tree.  This one wasn't too bad.

Human Tracks.  

I'm not sure what this track is.  I think maybe it was big foot, but I haven't heard of any sightings in my area.  You tell me what you think.  It was in my back yard, close to the house.  du-du-du-du-du

Tire Tracks.  

MY CHOICE

I was looking through all my photo's and came across this one.  It was taken a couple of summers ago before the landscaping went in.  The boys just roasting hot dogs and chillin together.

I Spy - Ridiculous

*knock, knock*  Is anybody there?  I see you reading.  Oh yes, with that magic eye of mine.  I know you are just waiting for us to put up the link so you can join in the fun with myself and Christy, who has a very Mad Mind.   Grab your camera, take some photo's of the prompts we give you and link on up.  I know for a fact that some of you have new camera's.  Yes, a little bird told me so.  Now there is no excuse.  This weeks prompts are RIDICULOUS and YOUR CHOICE.  Believe me, we have all taken those shots of when we are wild and crazy and ridiculous.  Show them off.  It will be fun. RIDICULOUS I know I've shown this one before, but there is a method to my madness.  I will usually pull a ridiculous face when I have my picture taken.  That is, if I allow it at all.  I got that fine quality from my mom. This next one is the madness that I referred to above.  My oldest son cracks me up constantly.  Here he is being a ridiculous nerd for Halloween one year.  See, the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. I could have posted yet more photo's of the ridiculous amount of road construction going on around here, but, I'm sparing you this week.  You're welcome. MY CHOICE Mr. Dazee has been working on the landscaping in our yard for the last three summers.  The other day, yes the day of much joy and shouting for joy, he wheeled the last wheelbarrow full of left over rocks out of the yard.   Here he is in his "hallelujah" pose

I Spy - Family Event

Ready for this weeks picture montage.  I know you have been waiting with bated breath for mine.  Please join in with Christy Mad Mind and Your's Truly photo challenge.  I know that a lot of you had family gatherings in the past week.  There were mega picture taking opportunities.  Show them off.  I triple dog dare you....... This weeks prompts are FAMILY EVENT and YOUR CHOICE.   Easy, easy, easy.   FAMILY EVENT
This was last Christmas's sibling get together.  Didn't I hide myself well.  But of course. Last years 2011 Thanksgiving Dinner.  One of those, I'm sneaking a shot so they won't get mad at me kind.  Last year was our year that the kids didn't go to their spouses festivities. Last year we took some of the grandkids to Thanksgiving Point to see their light show and see Santa's Reindeer.  It was a fun night. The BFF's.  So cute. I considered this a family event.  Usually we just see the doe's and their fawns.  Looks like daddy was in on the search.  (I think he was just trying to get on the good side of the doe's if you know what I mean, wink, wink) MY CHOICE This week instead of a photo, I'm going to show you a video I made last weekend of Miss O.  When her and her dad came over, she was "not herself".  She came in CHARACTER.  Of which her dad said she had been in all day.  

Make sure you turn the sound up on your computer.  She talks a smidge on the quiet side.

I Spy - Music

Many Thanks for stopping by and checking out this weeks photo meme, hosted by the ever lovely and talented Christy, with Her Mad Mind, and myself.   The hardest photo taking challenge on the World Wide Web.  NOT.....  We give you two prompts with one of them always YOUR CHOICE.  This week the other prompt is MUSIC.
I traveled back in time, ok, went through tons and tons of photo's that I have taken over the years, before there was ever a thing called the internet (I know, right).  Let me just mention, my photo taking skills have improved tremendously over time.  Which is lucky for you, since I'm not that great as it is.  But I slam myself at least have memories in pictures.  """"memories, like the corners of my mind......mystic water colored memories, of the way we were"""""""  (caught ya singing along, didn't I) Lets get started, shall we MUSIC
I've mentioned in the past that Mr. Dazee is an avid collector of all music.  Here is just a smidgen of what he has.
Some Albums.  I see that they are making a come back.  He has at least 4500 of these babies.
Eight Track and Cassettes.  He says he too many of these.  Between the 2 of them, he has approximately 600. 
45's.   According to him, there is about 8000 of these babies.
I couldn't find a picture of all his CD's.  There is appro.  3500 of them.  He has them all in alphabetical order.  Of course, they haven't made it out of the boxes on this move.   He has all kinds of music, old country, jazz, new age, rock and roll, classical.  You name it, he probably has it.  From the 1940's to present.  We need to get him his own internet station.
Here is just some of the equipment he has.  He has tons more of that too.
MY CHOICE Whilst going through old photo's, I came across a couple of them that just made me smile.  
This first one is of my own 3 kids.  They must have been cold, or this was the first fire of the season.  It was a wood burning fireplace.   I don't know, it just brings back memories.
This next one is from when we made a family trip to California in 2000.  Before it was a big pain in the butt to fly.  My sons cracked us up the whole trip.  It was so much fun.  We didn't take very many vacations, so this too made me smile.

I Spy - Wish

Time once again for the ever popular I Spy with Christy's Mad Mind and my crazy one.  Every week we beg for people to follow along.  Some of you are very loyal and we love you for it.  It is such a fun way to show off the photo's that you take.  We are just asking you to show off what you take pictures of.  It is so easy.  Our rules are even easier.  We give you 2 whole prompts.  One of them is always the same, YOUR CHOICE.  The other one changes weekly with this weeks being WISH.  Don't boggle down your brain with "what the heck am I going to do".  Boggle it with, "this is going to be a great interpretation of the prompt".   Are you ready to see my interpretations?  Well, hopefully you are, because, ummmm, you are here and stuff.  :) WISH
My first and second photo's are my wish that I could design and decorate cakes like my daughter.  She sure didn't take this skill from me, because I never had it.  

Makes you want a piece of cake and for you milk lovers like me, a huge ole glass of milk on ice (well, maybe minus the ice if you are a wuss)

I wish that I could draw more than a bath.  My sister actually painted this on the wall where she works.  I love how she put the night light as the light on the lighthouse.  Yeah, I wish I had a talent.

MY CHOICE

Yesterday I caught this buck in my neighbors yard, using his antlers to dig the plant out of the snow.  I know, I'm usually complaining about them, but I was at least happy it was happening at their house and not ours.

I Spy - Pole(s)

Are you ready to join in the I Spy movement?  What?  I.....can't......hear......you......, oh there you are.  Lets get our groove on with my awesome co-host Christy with the Maddest of Minds and show what you've got in the way of POLE(S) and SOMETHING OF YOUR CHOICE.   Do it...do it....till your satisfied.....take photo's....   There are all sorts of poles around.  Sorry, I don't have a stripper pole.  But ummm, if you do, you should link on up.  That would be so freaking cool.   All of my Pole photo's were taken without even having to leave my house.   POLE(S) You have the poles that hold up the swing set.

This pole is running between the satellite dish and the receivers.

Off the wall pole.  This is a pole that Mr. Dazee made up, that has "keep away the deer mesh, attached to it.  Those little dots you see are actually running from the pole, to the side of the house.  We had to save some of the flowers from being eaten by Bambi and his clan

I am thankful that I live in a State that has beautiful mountains.   They are so huge and majestic.
