Well, What's Your Answer? 9.18.10

Another try at well, what's your answer. Like I said before, can't figure out how to do the "grab the picture" thingy, so you will have to save picture as and insert picture. Sorry, someday I will be smart. Also, grab the questions and answer them on your blog. Then come back and link up. Or I will hunt you down and find you. I have friends in high places.

1. What do you think other people think of you? Do you think they see you the way you really are?
This one is kind of a good question for me. I'm sure people that don't really know me just look at me and say, yikes, she's overweight, she must be dumb. But then there are those that do know me. I'm pretty sure they think, "I can tell her anything". And they do. What they don't know is that I never tell another soul. The second part of that question. Do they see me the way I really am? Hum. Probably not. I think sometimes I hide it really well. I'm a realist, I swear like a trucker, I have a dirty mind. But I also love to "pun it up" and love babies, and kids, and butterflies and baby tigers. And love seeing pictures of everyone's family. I won't swear around you unless I am super mad. If I am in your corner, I will fight for you tooth and nail, but watch out if you hurt anyone in my immediate family, or my close friends (which some of you are) I will go for the blood, it won't be pretty.
2. Have you thought about what you want your epitaph to read?
I haven't thought much about the epitaph. Probably "Party at my Place" on the grave marker. Because I've already been told by the "good people" that I'm going to hell, and I figure, I don't want to be with the stuffy "good people" anyway, so it's a party and you're all invited. I have decided on my funeral. Have told my kids what I want, and one of these first days, I'm going to write my obituary. It will all be found on my computer under "Mom's Funeral". Even picked out the music. Little secret, at the end of the funeral, everyone is going to sing, "Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na, Hey-Hey-Hey, Good-ood-bye". It's going to rock!
Probably not what the questions really meant, but hey, It's my blog and I can answer them the way I want. And you can answer them the way you want too. Link on up. Please. Can you see the tears. Falling, falling, dropping on the floor. Big puddle.

Sneak Peak, Well, What's Your Answer 9.19.10

Ok, I know you are all dying of anticipation, (uh huh, and then I woke up) for this weeks, Well, What's Your Answer. I'm giving you a few questions this week. The link will go up later tonight.
1. What do you think other people think of you? Do you think they see you the way you really are?
2. Have you thought about what you want your epitaph to read?
(a short text honoring a deceased person, strictly speaking that is inscribed on their tombstone or plaque, but also used figuratively. Some are specified by the dead person beforehand, others chosen by those responsible for the burial. An epitaph may be in verse; poets have been known to compose their own epitaphs prior to their death)
K kids, I'm holding my breath, so maybe I better get going on my epitaph.

New Look and An Award

Can I just say, I am so excited for my new header. Why, you ask? Well, one of the bloggers I follow, Chana at Mamma Town, did a post today about a photography class she is taking. She posted some photo's. I love nature pictures. So I asked her if I could use one of them for my header. As you can tell, the answer was yes, and I am as excited as a kitten with a new toy. Thanks Chana. You Rock!!!!!

And, drum roll, Christy at I'm Just Sayin', bestowed the One Lovely Blog Award to me. aaahhh Christy, you shouldn't have. I mean really, you shouldn't have. I'm not nice all the time, and I hate to follow the rules. What are the rules? Let's take a look.

1. Accept the award and thank the giver.
Dear Christy, thanks for the award. You shouldn't have. But I accept it, because I'm cool like that. :)
2. Pay it forward to 15 other bloggers.
15 bloggers? Are you serious. 15. But.....but, I always leave someone out, and then they cry, and think that I don't like them anymore, and then I feel really bad, and have to drink. (ok it's just milk on ice, but it's drinking) I'll think about this one.
3. Contact those blog owners and let them know they have been chosen.
See rule number 2. The pressure.
I follow all types of bloggers. The ones with little kids, the ones with older kids, the ones whose kids have made them grandparents, The married, the single, MEN and women. Those that are sweet, those that are naughty, some that are just like me, but all in all, I love each an every one of you that I follow. That's why this is hard for me. I'm thinking I need to come up with my own award to give out. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna
do. But until then, I will give out a few.
Chana. We have been emailing and I have come to love her and her thoughtfulness.
Phoenix. Oh my, don't even get us going on Instant Message. We are constantly cracking each other up.
Jay at Ramblings of an Eccentric Mommy. She is sweet, and has finally gotten a job in the profession that she has wanted to for a long time.
Bodacious Boomer. Her posts always crack me up. Maybe it's because I have a sick mind like her. I kid, I kid. Geez.
Noelle at Because Nice Matters. Because nice does matter, and she wants me to be her sister. Her rotten step-sister, but still, she does.
Baby Sister at La Esquina de la Estrellita. Her post-it-notes have so much information you really should know about, that I always learn something new. Plus I can be her rotten step-sister too.
Renee at Renee's Ramblings. Another dear friend who I skype with every night. We have so much in common, it's kind of scary
Greta & Elle at Take Two Reviews. Twins that crack me up when they post their videos. Do not watch their video's while at work. Laughing out loud will happen.
Of course, all you PG-13, R and X rated bloggers. I heart you. You make me feel like I can be the real me. What? Some of you are shocked. Well, I'm rotten remember. I'll be going to hell, but by damn, I will be having a party, so you are all welcome!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend. Until later.

Flip-It HOA!!

Following mammakiss who is taking care of flip off fridays for Gigi who has a big log in the fire.
Friday is usually the day that I do flip-off Fridays. Not really sure if that is going to happen this week, but I have a huge FLIP-OFF to the Home
Owners Association.
As you read here, I do not like our H.O.A. Well they are at it again. First of all, here are some pictures of what hubby has been doing all.....summer..........long.

I think he has done a awesome job. But the HOA? Here is the email that we got Wednesday evening.

You guys have made great progress!
Could you please let us know when you plan on putting down the sod?

Thanks.
Do you want to know where the sod it going? On the parking strip. Because the HOA and city won't let you put anything but sod there. Most people will do their landscaping, then get the sprinkler dude to come over and then, you can lay your sod. At least in the world I know, that's what happens.

Big kiss award this week goes to my hubby. He deserves it. He works hard to make our place look nice. And then we get an email from the fine, outstanding HOA. They are lucky he sent back the reply. He is so much nicer than me. I would have said, "whenever we get the damn stuff laid, that's when. Quit bugging us. That's why all the landscaping looks so good around here. NOT. People have been hurried along to get their crap done."
Anylandscape, here's your kiss sweetie, you deserve it. And the HOA, can just flip-off.
