I Couldn't Fracken Believe It
Raise of hands, how many of you think this week went by super fast? It flew by for me.
A week ago tonight, after leaving the hospital with my sister-in-law Jodi in tow, we went in search of a Kmart, or Walmart, or something like that because, Jodi needed to buy her some new sweat pants because of the whole situation with the crime scene car.
We kept our eyes peeled, finally saw a Shopko, pulled in there with about 20 minutes to spare before they locked the doors. I have to say, that Shopko was pretty pathetic. Couldn't find a pair of sweats to save our soul. Finally, we found a pair in the men's department, left and I told her that when we got to our room I would take Stefan my trusty Australian voice GPS, up to the room with us, and have him find us the nearest Walmart.
I get comfy, turn him on, (minds out of the gutter), type in Walmart and wait for his magic. Up on the screen pops all of them he has found. Good boy Stefan, we knew we could trust you. He says, there is one .3 miles from the hotel. Jodi says, wow, that is super close, I wonder if we could see from the room. We go over to the window, open the blinds and see this.
That's right, it was fracking right next door to the hotel. We could have walked to it. We burst out laughing. We honestly needed that laugh, with all the angst we had been through that day.
But enough about me, how was your week?
Love this...right next door! A similar thing happened to me looking for the unemployment office. The gps took me to a Midas shop, I went in and asked, and the guy pointed to the sign attached to a pole just outside the door! Yeah, my week went by fast, too! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd you got me reading that Sister Wives blog... do you think it's true? Crazy lives!
AT my first psychiatrist appointment, I was already super anxious to the point of barfing in a plastic bag in my car, I couldn't find the building. So I parked my car and bawled my eyes out. Called the secretary and asked her for directinos and she said "Honey, look up. You're parked right in front of the building." DOH
ReplyDeleteGirl we are not even gonna go into the week I have had. I don't think WP has enough room for it all.. but this story made me crack up. That is so something I would do.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious. The same thing happens to Aaron all the time. Whatever he is looking for is always right in front of his eyes.
