A year ago, I asked these questions of my kids. And because this is the last day of Mothers Day Week, I thought I would post them on my blog. Some of the answers I think they would change today. But they are still fun to read. Carry on.
1. What is something mom always says to you?
Mindi: Every morning on instant messenger: "how did the kids sleep last night?" (now I text her)
Justin: Okay and bye, bye now!
Brandon: Be careful
2. What makes mom happy?
Justin: her kids to be happy
Brandon: Playing on facebook (and my blog)
3. What makes mom sad?
Mindi: when her kids/grandkids are sad
Justin: when her kids are upset
Brandon: TV commercials make her cry :)
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Mindi: she says the funniest things to cheer me up
Justin: how goofy she is on the phone
Brandon: don't know... but she does :)
5. What was your mom like as a child?
Mindi: Hum, well how should I know? haha! she tells me she loved to read and sit on her floor vent in the winter to warm up. (oh man, i really did)
Justin: I don't really know
Brandon: she liked reading, and still does
6. How old is your mom? (I took the liberty to change this to this years age)
Brandon: in spirit...about 17 :)
7. How tall is your mom?
Mindi: she's about 5'5"
Brandon: 5' something...shorter than me
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Mindi: get home from work and unwind
Justin: watch tv (and blog)
Brandon: facebook...hands down! (blogging is actually coming in 1st now)
9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
Mindi: read books
Brandon: I don't know, and I don't want to know!
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
Mindi: stand up comedy
Justin: the person who watched the most reality shows ever
Brandon: Something to do with coworkers...and a bad day :)
11. What is your mom really good at?
Mindi: typing and texting! wow her fingers fly!
Justin: getting along with others
Brandon: Being able to talk to. Everyone tells her everything.
12. What is your mom not very good at?
Mindi: staying up past 9:00 PM (oh my, that's for sure)
Justin: being patient while driving (he's got that one right)
Brandon: Holding in her thoughts :) (what? I can hold them in, they just show all over my face)
13. What does your mom do for her job?
Mindi: she is a babysitter...of grown men. pretty much does it all. :) her work title should be all of the above..
Justin: almost everything
Brandon: many different things! don't have time to list it all!!
14. What is your mom's favorite food?
Mindi: Pizza-haha! NOT!
Justin: chinese and hot dogs (especially hot dogs from Home Depot with grilled onions and saurekraut, yum)
Brandon: well, I'm guessing here, but i'd like to say mexican?
15. What makes you proud of your mom?
Mindi: she's worked hard all her life. she worked hard for us growing up...and now it's time she settles down and retire!!! (oh, if only i was retirement age)
Justin: her ability to make lemonaide when she's thrown lemons Brandon: that she always hangs in tough, she's a tough cookie
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
Mindi: Maxine-but cuter!!!! (hehehehe, that's a good one mindi)
Justin: the cupboard lady in beauty and the beast
Brandon: I'm flabbergasted at this question and refuse to answer! (Brandon doesn't watch many cartoons tee-hee-hee)
17. What do you and your mom do together?
Mindi: Lauren, my mom, and I go have a girls day at Gardner Village in the summer to celebrate birthdays. (we need to do that again)
Justin: talk on the phone
Brandon: work...lame I know
18. How are you and your mom the same?
Mindi: work ethic
Justin: sense of humor
Brandon: we both hate the snow (that's for damn sure)
19. How are you and your mom different?
Mindi: I shop at the mall and she doesn't :)
Justin: tollerance of BS
Brandon: nothing comes to mind, minus the whole male-female thing
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Mindi: she cares a lot about my kids and how they are doing (and my own kids)
Justin: she got me a job when I needed one
Brandon: she makes me lunch for work, even though I don't live with her
21. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?
Justin: out to dinner with friends or loved ones
Brandon: I would say anywhere as long as she is with friends or family
22. What is your mom's least favorite place to go?
That was really a fun thing to do. Especially when you email them the questions, so they all do it separately. I especially got a kick out of #22 where they all said the same thing. And thanks Renee for reminding me that I had this stored away on facebook, with your questions to your kids.
