Getting to Know Me, Getting to Know All About Me

You sang the song in your head.  I know you did.  You can't fool me.  I'm too old and wise for that.   Thanks to Java at Never Growing Old for giving you guys more stuff you really could care less about knowing but you needed something to read.

1.  What is your favorite yogurt flavor?

Right now my favorite flavor is FROZEN.  Hey, it's yogurt, it counts.  Fro-Gurt is my favorite place to go.  Ok, it's the closest, get over it.  Sometimes, they have a bubblegum flavor that is mue delicioso.  It they don't have that I have whatever flavor of cheesecake they've got going.  Then out of the many choices they have to put on top, my favorite is the little cheesecake bites.  Ok, but if you want to know my favorite REAL yogurt, it would be Yoplait Cherry.

2.  Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or coloured??

When I was a wee lass (that was for you Daft Scots Lass), I would only wear knee socks.  Usually they would be white.  Look at these I found on Google Images.  I would totally wear those socks right this minute.  Otherwise, I hate socks.  Almost as much as I hate shoes.  I'm a totally flip flop girl.  (Sorry males, kind of a boring question.  Here is my answer for you.  I love bare legs, freshly shaved, so you can run your hand up and down them)  See, flip flop girl.

3.  How is the weather right now?

Here in the City of Salt, we still have snow capped mountains majesty.  Since April and May had a pow-wow with Mother Nature, our run off is just beginning to happen.   Weather is in the 70's to 80's.  There has been 5 children die in the last 2 weeks because their families have decided to go see the run off.  The water is moving about 60 plus miles an hour coming down the streams.  Wait, the question was what's the weather like.  It's ok I guess. :)

4.  Are you a fast typer?

Yes I am.  You have to remember I have been using my fingers in a typing job for about 35 years.  Last time I was timed, I was about 110ish.  Thank goodness for computers.  I used to have to type on a real typewriter.  I know, some of you are shaking your heads, what in the heck is that?  If you are old enough, we had to use white out to fix our mistakes.  I remember when they finally came out with typewriters that had the white out strips built in so you could backspace and fix your mistakes.  Aaahhh, memories, are so beautiful and yet, what's to painful to remem-m-m-ber....oops drifted off there for a sec.  My bad.

5.  Red or White Wine?

My friend Pam thinks I'm not a worthy wine drinker.  Why you ask, because I have to have the cheap flavored wine.  But if you really want to know the truth.  I would much rather have a blended drink.  Strawberry Daiquiri's are my fav.  Followed by the lime Margarita.  I'm also kind of becoming a fan of flavored martini's.  Wait, I went off on a whole tangent of not really being a wine lover.  I've never been one to follow the rules much.  But if you MADE me choose a wine, it would be white.

This ends another session of things you didn't wanted to know, but were afraid to ask.  Tune in next time when I answer questions like

How did the people that built the pyramids do it without the equipment we have today?  As asked by my 7 year old grandson, Mr. C.

  1. We'd get on famously, D!

I pull my nose up at red wine, love the sweet flavoured wines myself. Strawberry Dacquiris are one my favs too.

I type like a bat outta hell and I learned to type on one of those old fashioned typed writers (not even an electronic one). We had a battle-axe of a typing teacher at school who used to hit out knuckled with the a wooden rule if we looked at our hands. I'd like to get hold of her these days and hit HER with the fucking wooden ruler, but then again, she's probably dead!

I'm a flip-flop girl too and I love knee socks but I don't wear them together. That would just be dorky! Like eating normal yogurt and not frozen.

We're fekking Twinzies I tell you!

  9. Hi, it's Just One Donna stopping by for Meet Me On Monday. I love my Kuerig too, but I always keep a jug of cold brewed coffee in my fridge this time of year for my iced coffee drinks. I make them really thick with the fat free milk and coffee cubes...it's like a coffee frozen yogurt break, with much fewer calories. I'll be following on GFC.

I remember typewriters! I've been typing forever too and got even faster when computers came onto the scene. I remember those white out strips too.
